Woodbridge is a market town on the edge of the River Deben. Featuring the historic Tide Mill, wonderful river walks, boating and watersport opportunities, numerous independent shops and boutiques, a plethora of places to eat and drink, Woodbridge is a bustling Suffolk town well worth a visit. On the opposite bank of the river Deben you will find Sutton Hoo, a renowned archaeological Anglo-Saxon burial site with a visitor centre. Recently refurbished, Deben Pool offers swimming facilities for all the family and the Riverside features a cinema and restaurant. Nearby, just down the road in Melton, Ufford Park is the perfect place to get pampered for an afternoon with its in-house spa. It also boasts an award winning 120 acre, 18 hole golf course set in undulating parkland, crazy golf and a driving range – something for all the family.

GET OUT ALONG THE DEBEN
Make the most of the riverside setting
Whether its a quiet stroll along the riverbank or a splash into the river itself, you have to make the most of this beautiful riverside setting. The Tide Mill is worth a visit (see more by clicking below), but for the more active amoung you, you may wish to hire a kayak and get a little wet!

A SPOT OF SHOPPING
In this historic market town
Woodbridge Town Council runs a weekly market outside the Shire Hall on the Market Square every Thursday from 8.00 a.m. Woodbridge also offers an extensive range of independent boutiques selling giftware, clothing, artisan foods, art, homeware, books and more. The Farmer’s market takes place on the second and fourth Saturday of every month from 9am to 12:30pm.
